It was honour to whom honour is due for popular Fuji music mixing DJ, Kudirat Gbemisola Salami, better known as Deejaykulet on Wednesday, 19th May, 2021, as Fuji music star, Alhaji Sulaiman Alao Adekunle, simply called Malaika met her at a show in Ikotun, hugged her warmly before handing out a bale of money to her.
And this is coming few days after Fuji music legend, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Anifowoshe Marshal popularly known as K1, hosted her at his palatial home in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, and treated her to delicious meal prepared by himself, before conducting her round his ranch as a special guest that she was to the King of Fuji music in his abode.
For those who know Deejaykulet and have been following her on the social media, they would attest to the fact that she has been one DJ who has been a big blessing to Fuji music industry in Nigeria of late. How? She is a DJ who has been mixing different Fuji music sounds by Fuji music stars like K1, Pasuma, Malaika, Saheed Osupa, Remi Aluko, Obesere and the rest of them, and putting out the mix tape to people around the world.
And by so doing, she is not only promoting the Fuji music genre, she is also spreading the gospel of the music of the individual artstes she has put their sounds in her mix tapes that she also plays at occassions where she is engaged as the DJ. As a matter of fact, there is hardly any other DJ who has promoted the "Ade Ori Okin" song by K1 at parties better than Deejaykulet. And it must have been in recognition of that effort that K1 decided to host her when he did.
Same thing applies to Malaika whose sounds she has also been blasting in her selections over time. Hence, it is understandable why Malaika repeatedly hugged her before giving her money when they met at the show in Ikotun. So, indeed, there is always a reward for every good thing done. The time might only be sooner, or later.
