FFk took to his Twitter account to share a touching story about a Nollywood star who died at Abuja hospital due to illness.
I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of the beautiful Rachael Bakam who was a regular guest at my Abuja home with my brother John Fashanu. She was a dear friend, a kind-hearted, compassionate & wonderful soul & a highly talented television presenter & personality.
She was also a great source of pride to her native Kaduna state and eria and she brought smiles to the faces of millions all over the country with her weekly program on AIT. I and many others shall miss her.
May her beautiful soul rest in peace and may God grant her loved ones, her siblings, and her son the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
Rachel was a very inspiring woman, sister, and mother- always had a smile, always positive, and very clear about her goals. I met her probably 17 years ago in Kaduna through a mutual friend and later on with her then then-husband all Edjeren. More recently, we were in the same Kaduna Creative group where we mentor, support, and share opportunities for empowerment and she was always very active, about any project concerning Southern
Kaduna and Kaduna state as a whole- but with a keen focus on helping the less privileged and the displaced refugees across the country.
The first time I saw her on her TV show years back helping the poor living in thrash, I was dazed to watch hing an enigma- a beauty at that! She had the capability of transforming the world! May her beautiful soul rest in peace! May we not die with our dreams and God-ordained assignment.
