Olushola Allyson-Obaniyi was born ikorodu, Lagos. She started her primary education at Anglican primary school then move to Shams-el-deen grammar school ,Ikorodu for her primary and secondary education respectively. She proceeded to Government technical college, Agidingbi ,Ikeja. At the college, she studied business study and she obtained an NBTE certificate.

In 1997, she attended polytechnic Ibadan where she studied Music technology majoring in Voice and minoring music.
Shola got married to Toyin Obaniyi in 2003. The duo met in Central Choir of the celestial church of Christ. And today, the union is blessed with three children, Ayobami, Mopelola and Obafunmiwo.


Currently, shola has seven album credits with several inspirational tracks. The studio albums include;

Though ,she has been nominated for more than three awards ,In 2018,she won "Special recognition awards " at the City People Awards.
