Since the General Overseer of Winners Chapel, Bishop Oyedepo made his controversial statement regards the payment of tithes by church members, litany of criticism has trailed the revered man of God.
According to Oyedepo: "You're under financial curse if you don't pay tithe". And the statement has refused to go down well with most Nigerians.
'I want to call Dangote and Bill Gate let me ask them about tithe, to know if they do pay too. So we can settle this matter once and for all," music star, Rude Boy commented. In reaction to Rude Boy's comment, Basketmouth said: "you'll have to pay your tithe to me before I will tell you."
"You are under jara curse, if you no find me something this weekend. Bet and see," Reality star, actor and TV personality, Uti Nwachukwu wrote.
"E tire me. Same them that preach about grace (unlimited favour) yet still talking of how I must pay tithe to merit financial favour. I'm confused," comedian Acapella wrote.
Anyway, see more reactions below, including that of Basketmouth's wife, Elsie Okpocha
But Nollywood actress and business woman, Mary Remmy Njoku made it clear that she won't say what is in her mind. Though it's a confusing stand, as we can't say if she in support of the man of God, or against his statement.
