It's Been One Year Since The Endsars Movement, Feels Like It Was Just Yesterday - Enisa Nikaj Reacted.

Today, October 20, 2021, marks the first year remembrance of the Lekki Toll Gate alleged shooting which claimed the lives of many peaceful #EndSARS protesters who were only demanding for good governance, police brutality, and disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a notorious unit of the Nigerian police with a long record of abuses, judicious killings, extortion, and harassment.

However, Enisa Nikaj, who is an American singer, songwriter, and a model, has taken to her Official Twitter handle to pay her respect as many Nigerian youths and top celebrities in the country held memorial protests in some parts of Lagos and Abuja, one year after security forces violently suppressed mass protests against police brutality and bad governance.

While sharing on her official Twitter handle, the outstanding American singer, Enisa Nikaj stated that after one year since the Endsars movement took place, the whole incident still feels like it was just yesterday, adding that she still feel so sad thinking about the innocent people who lost their lives while fighting for their human rights as a citizen of Nigeria.

Furthermore, Enisa Nikaj stated that she's will always use her platform as a voice for the people.

This is a good one from our Nigerian youths, and if you ask me, I would say that I stand with the #EndSarsMemorial movement, those who died while fighting for their human rights as a citizen of Nigeria should not be forgotten, our leaders needs to understand that everybody's life matters, and the citizens should not be killed for demanding for their human rights as long as they are doing it in the right way, but it's so sad to imagine that our leaders and our security operatives, who were supposed to protect the citizens from any harm are now the ones killing us.

Peaceful protesters allegedly killed for standing up for their rights, many Nigerians can't still forget the pain, agony, and bitterness many families have to pass through because of their loved ones who were killed during the protest.
