Sadiq Abubakar Daba, know simply as Sad Dana was a Nigeria actor and broadcaster. in 2015, he won Africa movie Academy award for best actor, for his role as "inspector Waziri" in October 1st.

The veteran broadcaster and actor, died on Wednesday, 3rd of march, 2021. In the evening after a long battle with leukemia and prostate cancer.
His death was confirmed by film maker Kunle Afolayan with whom he worked recently on the 2020 motion picture, "citation". Afolayan said the late actor spoke to his wife and son before his death.

A lot of Nigerians have made donation of money for his treatment abroad and out pouring support on social media, including billionaire Femi Otedola.
The late actor and broadcaster made waves in the 1980s on Nigeria television authority (NTA), he has featured in a lot of TV series and movies, with 'cock crow at dawn' and 'October 1st' at notable mentions.
