Wizkid was full of joy when his call to the BBC network connected. The interview would have of course been conducted in person had it not been for the pandemic and it's consequential movement restrictions.
"I'm just waking up, my son Zion is jumping on my head" he says.
The radio presenter is evidently shocked Wiz hasn't even been able to access the internet yet. She comments on how celebratory messages and posts are dominating Twitter, Wizkid though full of appreciation is not entirely surprised. He has arguably one of the biggest and dedicated fanbase in the world, Wizkid FC.
When asked how he has been coping with the lockdown, since obviously it has had a strain on artists worldwide who haven't been able travel around for concerts, shoot music videos, grant interviews and the like, Wizkid simply replies that he has been great. He also went further to give insight on what the lockdown taught him.
"I have been well, it's been a challenging time for the whole world. If it's one thing that it has taught everyone, it's that very few things in life are important, which is family, good health and life and we underestimated that. I feel like, as humans we wake up and chase (money), we don't appreciate just waking up and good health. These times have taught people to find themselves, spend more time with family and just be great. I've been spending time with my son Zion and family, having a good time, eating great and thanking God for his blessings".
Evidently, the strain of being trapped in London was considerately reduced with his baby mama (rumored wife) and manager Jada Pollock and their charming son Zion around him.
Check out adorable pictures of them below;
Jada Pollock celebrated the starboy with 30 blue roses, balloons and a small party with friends and family.
