Akuapem Poloo was found guilty of posing nude with her son for his seventh birthday by the Accra Circuit Court. The actress and Instagram model, Rosemond Brown, better known as Akuapem Poloo, served three months in prison.
Reports indicated that on June 30, 2020 the actress celebrated her son's (name withheld) seventh birthday by taking a nude photo with her son half-naked and posting it to her Instagram page which went viral.
According to Chief Inspector Asantewa, the behaviour of the accused compromises his privacy or diminishes the dignity of the son. In response to the complaint, Akuapem Poloo was arrested and admitted that the nude picture had been posted unintentionally together with her son.
Poloo was handed a 90-day sentence after pleading guilty to three charge levels against her.
Polio's sentencing has been deferred until April 16, 2021, for a pregnancy test to ensure she was not pregnant before her sentencing is passed.
Based on her results which came out negative, she is fit to serve her imprisonment.
