Simi's fans- see nine things you didn't know about her.

Simisola Bolatito Kosoko (nee Ogunleye) is a Nigerian musician, songwriter, sound engineer and actress.

She came to limelight with her soundtrack "Tiff" on the 9th of January, 2014.

Since then, she has released a lot of award-winning songs, featuring musicians like Falz, Adekunle Gold, Patoranking, Maleek Berry and in turn has been featured in the songs of musicians like Cobhams Asuquo, Johnny Drille, Mr Eazi and Ladipoe.

Here are nine facts you probably didn't know about her:

1. Education

She studied mass communication in Covenant university.

2. Parents

Her parents separated when she was nine years old. However, her mum, formerly Mrs Jedidiah Ogunleye remarried and is now Mrs Akinsola.

3. She is the last of four children.

4. Music career

She was formerly a Gospel singer before the release of Tiff in 2014.

5. Relationship/ marriage

She and Adekunle Gold (Adekunle Kosoko) had been dating for five years before their marriage in January 2019.

6. Simi as an actress

Yes! An actress. She starred in Kunle Afolayan's May 2019 movie titled Mokalik.

7. Favourite holiday spot

Her favourite spot is Italy but she hasn't been there before. She just feels like she would love the place. (Source: Koko magazine)

9. Joromi/ Dekunle

She wrote the song Joromi for her then boyfriend now husband, Adekunle Gold. She wanted it to go like this- "Dekunle Dekunle oo I want you to love me" But she changed it because she already sang Take me back using his name and she didn't want people knowing that she loved someone named Adekunle so much.
