We used to send Wizkid to buy Amala – Toke Makinwa

Nigerian TV presenter, Toke Makinwa has spoken on the struggles and hustle of Wizkid before becoming who he is today.

She said that when Ayodeji was up-and-coming, he used to hang out in Rhythm FM studio and ran messages such as going to buy Amala for the studio Dj and carrying speakers and microphone.

She said; “You don’t know the years Wizkid put in to becoming who he is today. Young newbies try music for a year or two and are frustrated because it is not working…dude, when I tell people…I was at Rhythm and Wizkid used to carry speakers and he will be sent by DJs to buy Amala and he will do it, he was the studio rat, just help me play my song he will say.

The London Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in the centre of The entertainment complex on the Greenwich Peninsula in the west east of England. The event centre, which has a 30,000-sitting capacity, is the second-highest seating capacity of any indoor venue in the United Kingdom, behind the Manchester Arena.

While the show initially had two dates for the concert, the singer sold out tickets for the second date in 40 seconds. Fondly called Big Wiz, the singer made this revelation via his Twitter page.
