Popular Nigerian singer Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, known professionally as "Olamide"revealed why he chose to sign Adedamola Adefolahan,also known as Fireboy DML under his record label "YBNL NATION"
Olamide was questioned on why he chose to mentor Fireboy DML aside from just signing him. He responded explaining that Fireboy DML had a unique style of singing and he also appreciated his passion for song writing.
Fireboy DML explained in an interview how he met with Olamide. He also explained that their first meeting was at a hotel and they built their relationship from there.
Fireboy DML has always shown talent in the music industry, and has had several nominations for awards and has won over 5 in the past 3 years including the Headies Award for best pop single and the Headies Award for Next Rated in 2019.
