Blast Bishop Oyedebo Regarding His Latest Post On Tithe
Recall that early today, Bishop Oyedebo of Megachurch Ministry made post which he said, "Tithing is an inescapable covenant obligation. Prosperity not just wealth is impossible without tithing, because when you're not paying your tithe, you're under a financial curse."
Recently, Nigerian popular comedian known as Basketmonth took to his Twitter handle and laments bitterly concerning the issue of this tithe.
He said, "This life no balance at all! The government will threaten us with prosecution if we don't pay our tax and vat.
"The CHURCH will now threaten us with a financial curse if you don't pay your Tithe! Inside the terrible economy? With the level of unemployment?"
I am still wandering who Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Donald Trump, Aliko Dangote, Oprah Winfrey, Richard Bradson, Steve Jobs, Larry Page just to mention a few billionaires pay their tithes and offering to.
It is scriptural to use our money, skills and whatever we have to serve the Lord but it must be done with truthfulness and in holiness.
Something that is lacking in an average Nigerian. Nigeria of today is a reflection of the attitude and behaviour of Nigerians and their religious leaders towards God.
