1. Rachel Bakam

Rachel Bakam, 11 September 1982 – 13 April 2021, was a Nollywood actress, writer, TV presenter and producer, and an anti-human trafficking ambassador.

She was the CEO and managing director of Rayzeds Media Ltd, Founder and president of the Nigerian Water Ski And Wakeboard Federation (NWWF) and media consultant for the Performing Musician Employers Association (PMAN) & African Fashion Reception Paris. Bakam was a peace and tourist ambassador. She was 2015 alumna of United States International Visitors Leadership Programme.

She hosted Trends & Rachel, a popular television show that airs on Nigerian Television Authority(NTA), African Independent Television (AIT), DSTV, and Startimes. She also produced and presented Rachel the PIPER and hausa version RACHEL MAI KAKAAKI; an entertaining yet highly humanitarian television programme. Bakam died on Tuesday 13 April 2021 due to complications of anaemia.

Rachel Bakam was born September 11, 1982, in Kaduna State where she grew up. She hails from Zango Kataf part of Kaduna State.

She lost her father at age 12. She played a lead role in the Hausa drama series known as Rayuwa at age 16.

Bakam was president of the Literary and Debating Club then Head Girl in Kaduna Capital School and also the best graduating female student.

She was the best graduating student from the faculty of Arts at Ahmadu Bello University where she studied English and Theatre Arts.

She did her National Youth Service Corps at Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), where she produced and presented different TV programs like Trends & Rachel &, Saturday Morning, and Style Code.

Bakam also studied digital filmmaking at New York Film Academy.

She founded Rayzeds Media Ltd and was a media consultant for the Performing Musician Employers Association (PMAN) & African Fashion Reception Paris. She is a 2015 alumna of the United States International Visitors Leadership Programme.

She got an endorsement deal with Numatville Megacity in 2016. Bakam is the founder of the Water Ski and Wakeboard Federation in Nigeria.

Bakam has received several awards and nominations for her work some of which include the 2015 Pan African Humanitarian Award as the Most Promising TV Personality of the Year, Sir Tafela Balewa Leadership Award as the Media Entrepreneur of the year,

She was previously married to media personality, Israel Edjeren but they parted ways in 2014.

Bakam was alleged to have dated ex-footballer John Fashanu. She has a 12-year-old son from her previous marriage.

Before her death, she has starred in several Nollywood movies such as Switched, The journey of the self, Land of no opportunity, and many others.

2. Rahama Sadau

Rahama Sadau is a Nollywood and Kannywood actress, filmmaker, and singer. Born and raised in Kaduna, her hometown, Rahama performed in dancing competitions as a child and during her school years. She rose to fame in late 2013 after joining the Kannywood movie Industry with her first movie Gani ga Wane.

Rahama appears in many Nigerian movies in both Hausa and English and is been one of the few Nigerian actors that speaks Hindi fluently. She is the winner of Best Actress (Kannywood) at the City People Entertainment Awards in 2014 and 2015. She also won Best African Actress at the 19th African Film Awards in 2015 by African Voice.In 2017, she became the first Hausa celebrity to appear in the top ten Hottest Female Nigeria Celebrities. Throughout her career, Sadau has been a busy actress, appearing in both movies and music videos.

Rahama appears in many Nigerian movies in both Hausa and English and is been one of the few Nigerian actors that speaks Hindi fluently.

3. Jeiel Damina

Jeiel Damina is a popular Nigerian musical artist and actress. She is one of the members of Triple J Plus which was formed by her along with her other two sisters Jesimel and Jemima. Jeiel has been popular for her acting role in the nollywood web series called Best Friend in the World.

She is best known for her appearance in the popular web series, “Best Friend in The World”, alongside, Lyta, Emmanuel Esiet, and many others.

Jeiel Damina was born on September 4, 2002, in Kaduna, Nigeria. She hails from Kaduna State. Jeiel was born into a family of three, emerging as the 3rd child of the family.

She was born into a family of christian believers and she was guided though the way of the Lord.

She spent her childhood and grew up in her hometown where had completed both her primary and secondary education.

Although Jeiel Damina has also completed her tertiary education, the University she attended is yet to be known.

Jeiel Damina debuted her acting career at a very young age of 8. She grew up working not just in the acting industry but also as a music artist and a passionate writer.

4. Maryam Charles

Maryam Charles is a Nollywood upcoming actress and producer from Kaduna State.

She grew up in a Christian home where she nurtured a passion for acting.

She is a graduate of ABU Zaria where she studied sociology and Anthropology.

She recently starred in a Nollywood movie titled, ’39steps’ starring other casts like Ik Ogbonna, Harry B, Vincent Opurum, and many more.

Maryam was one of the celebrities who condemned Nigerian men celebrating the launch of female sex doll where she said Nigerian men should be focused on taking care of their wives instead of jubilating over a doll.

In 2019, she got married to her Belgium-based boyfriend, Mohamed Adebola Sulyman. The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Kaduna with just friends and family present.

5. Diwa Ishaya

Diwa Ishaya is a slim, curvy Nollywood Diva from originally from Kaduna, but breed in Lagos. She has been acting for eight years, but started making money few years ago. She was born into the family of five. Diwa’s well known movie is titled After my wish, Child’s Mistake.

In 2012, she featured in the movie "Agony of a blind girl".

In 2013, she took a break from acting and enrolled to study Film and Media Studies in the London South Bank University.

She also revealed that her biggest movie project so far is Diary of a pregnant woman. she produced the movies "Treasure of a blind prince" and "Mysterious Pen" and later graduated in 2016.

The 27th October born screen goddess is the CEO of DIWA CONCEPTS and has so far produced eight movies which include "Diary of a pregnant woman", "After my wish", "Snitch", "The Traitor", and yet to release "Meet the Cokers".

She has worked with the likes of Alexx Ekubo, Ruth Kadiri, Somadina Adinma, Wale Ojo to mention a few.
