Nigerians lashes out bitterly at a woman that bleached her seven year old daughter's skin all because of beauty. This particular post was shared on Joro Olumofin's Instagram platform. The husband complained bitterly on this particular post on Instagram about his wife bleaching their daughter's skin at a very tender age. All of a sudden, he noticed his dark skinned daughter was turning to a light skinned girl. He searched his wife's room and found bleaching cream then he discovered his wife was the one using the bleaching cream on their daughter. He confronted his wife who in turn flared up and said dark skinned girls don't get favours from other people neither do they get married on time.
This mentality is actually rampant in our midst these days. Black skinned people are made to see themselves as inferior which is not fair. Even in countries like the US, blacks are treated cruelly making it seem like it's a crime to be black. Imagine a mother saying this and forcefully bleaching her young daughter's skin all for the sake of beauty.
The man also mentioned the fact that he noticed she wasn't taking good care of her dark skinned daughter the way she was taking care of her light skinned children. This kind of mentality really needs to be erased from our society. We need to make our children love themselves the way they are not try to change their physical self all because of what people will think or say about them. See attached screenshots.
