Queen Mercy Atang best known as Queen is one of your favorite ex-housemates in the just concluded Big Brother Naija 'Shine ya eyes' season 6 reality show 2021. A few hours ago she took to her verified Instagram page to share a throwback video of the endSARS protest in memorial of lives that was lost as she breaks down in tears. She also uploaded an image of the country flag, stating we should continue praying for the nation with another showing the date (October 20th, 2020) as she noted that it is a day not to forget.
According to her, she noted that said night she cried herself to sleep because she couldn't close her eyes and as such she was heartbroken. Furthermore, she stated that she thought of several ways of helping as she wept and prayed all through the night so that a miracle will happen.
She, however, stated that she began wishing she was in any position of power to assist Nigerians and as such, she hoped she could do something but then she said to herself that what can she possibly do. Adding that she however realized that she was just a little child with dreams as she interceded like no other for one Nigeria as she affirms that the pain of that night is still afresh.
As this beautiful 'shine ya eyes' star kept on crying profusely she noted that how could they have taken the lives of unarmed youths whom they are meant to defend and protect stating that she doesn't understand what happened that day.
Recall that the year 2020 October 20th was a day that Nigerian lost innocent citizens who came out to protest at Lekki toll gate for the government to end the incessant brutality of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS). Today makes it a year now since the massacre took place and the youths have decided to come in mass to remember The Departed souls.
