Blackky - About Tyme
Born Edward Inyang, Blackky churned out records that had a generous mix of Reggae and its subgenre Reggaeton. In 1991, he debuted the album About Tyme, which boasted a number of hits like “Blackky Skank” and the sexually-charged “Sugar Stick”. He also released “Rosie”, a song that one can arguably say is what shone the light on his career.
The album for the then 24-year-old artiste, saw to him bagging a deal with Polygram Records, a little while after winning the Lekki Sunsplash Talent Hunt Contest.
