3 Talented Nollywood Actors Who Gradually Fizzled Out Of Our Screens!

Tope Tedela

In 2013, the Lagos state university graduate shot to limelight after featuring in his first leading role in the movie ‘A Mile from home’ where he played the character ‘Lala’.

Although Tope had been acting before then, his big break came from the movie mentioned above, he was so deep into the character that he was able to sell himself as a good actor.

Soon, more roles came knocking and Tope Tedela found a name for himself in the competitive industry.

The actor who has won many awards for his special role interpretation prowess and many beautiful movies to his belt has gradually fizzled out of our TV screens.

Although Tope Still acts, he’s no longer a frequent face in movies and this is as a result of the population in Nollywood as more actors keep springing up daily thus making the competition very high.

OC Ukeje

Award-winning actor OC Ukeje is an actor, model, and singer. OC came into limelight after he won the Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO) reality show.

He started his career with stage plays for about four years before featuring in flicks and his very first movie was White Waters in 2008 and that exposed him to a larger audience after co-starring with heavyweights such as Rita Dominic and Ajoke Silva.

After then, OC has been our favorite lover boy in movies, the actor has been an exceptional role interpreter over the years.

Due to the rise of upcoming actors in Nollywood, in recent times, OC is rarely seen in movies even though he hasn’t stopped acting.

The industry is so competitive that we miss seeing the face of OC Ukeje who once dominated the movie scene.

Ben Lugo Touitou

Nigerian /Israeli actor Benjamin Touitou is a very talented and well-spoken actor who exudes intelligence.

The actor who was born to a Nigerian mother found his passion in the Nigerian movie industry and was lucky enough to find stardom in his very first movie, ‘Lagos Cougars’ in 2013.

He acted alongside actress Monalisa Chinda and as her love interest they shared a lot of onscreen passionate kisses, his interpretation skills gave a new meaning to the ‘Loverboy’ role and soon he became a hot cake in the industry.

Benjamin’s good looks and foreign background were also a plus and it helped him gain a lot of fans and admirers within and outside the industry.

Sadly, Benjamin didn’t stay relevant in the movie scenes for too long, and gradually, his appearance on the screen began to reduce as more upcoming actors flood the movie industry.
