Waka Queen Alhaja Salawa Abeni today in a sober mood remembered the loss of her first son, Idris Olanrewaju Adefolajuwon Akanji Adepoju.
One of Nigeria’s foremost waka Queen has shared her pains when the incident occurred twenty years ago on one of her social media handles earlier today, she wrote this and it has really generated reactions;
Hmmm!! Today the 2nd of October makes it 20 yrs that you left me. My first son Idris Olanrewaju Adefolajuwon Akanji Adepoju. It still feels like yesterday but it’s 20 years already. Your death caused a lot of pains in my life. Lanre, your death changed my life completely, it also affected my career negatively to the extent that people asked me if I was still singing. But all the same I thank Almighty Allah for the strength and the grace to continue living. 😭😭 And everyone that stood by me since that time till now. And I want to use this opportunity to pray for all the parents out there, by the grace of God, may you never lose a child “E O NI RI IKU OMO NI AGBARA OLOHUN O” 🙏🏽🙏🏽 and to the ones that have experienced it, May God gives you succour to overcome such calamity “IDUNNU TO N BORI IBANUJE NI OLOHUN A SE FUN GBOGBO WA” 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Aameen.
