20 Killed Following Clashes Over Chiefdom In Taraba

No fewer than twenty persons have been reported killed following a clash between two ethnic groups over kingship in Taraba State.
This development comes on the heels of a coronation held for the traditional ruler of Wurkun Chiefdom.
Sources reveal that the ceremony which was put together by Governor Darius Ishaku, turned out to be a decision that was not welcomed by other tribes.

Falana To Defend Seun-Kuti

Human Rights Lawyer, Femi Falana said on Sunday that Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, had sought his legal services following the singer’s assault on a police officer.
Falana, who confirmed the development to our correspondent, also noted that the singer has enough evidence to defend himself.

Drunk Driver Kills Teenage Hawker In Ondo

A teenager hawking snacks and identified as Bassey Edet has been crushed to death in Ore, Odigbo council area of Ondo State, by an alleged drunk driver.
An eyewitness told Vanguard that the incident occurred Saturday along the ever-busy Odigbo–Ore road.
According to him,” The boy is a usual face at the park where he sold puff-puff and buns and other snacks. That day, we were all at the park when a Toyota Picnic with number plate, EPE 576DC, rammed into the motor park and killed the teenage boy on the spot.
Ogun Worker Pushes Debtor's Wife To Death

Four members of staff of ZEFA Microfinance Bank have been arrested after one of them allegedly pushed 50-year-old Vivian Omo, the wife of their debtor, which led to her death.
The suspects, whose bank is situated at the Abule Ijoko Lemode area of the Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State reportedly went to the house of their debtor and started packing his belongings.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident in a statement on Sunday.
