If you have not read about the first demon, go now and read it. The first demon will explain why you should stop saying abracadabra.
Before we jump into the study of this hideous creature, let us first understand what demonology means.
Disclaimer: Please dear reader, I am not a ritualist or native doctor or a witch or a demonic specialist. I am simply an enthusiastic person wrapped in sheer curiosity.
Do you comprehend?
Alright, let us dive in now!
What is Demonology;
Demonology is the study of demons or beliefs about demons.
They may be human, or nonhuman, separable souls, or discarnate spirits that never inhabited a body.
A sharp distinction is often drawn between these two classes, notably by the Melanesians, several African groups, and others.
Below is a list of types of demons;
Ghosts or Malevolent Revenants.
Do you want to learn about each type of demons?
Tell me in the comments, and I will be sure to bring articles on those topics.
Now that we have learnt about demons. Let us discuss the second one on our list.
Alastor is a tormenting spirit or a Nemesis.
Percy Bysshe Shelly wrote a poem (Alastor or The Spirit of Solitude – 1816), which warned idealists that if they are always searching for extravagant love, the world will be their tormentor, and they will die a lonely death.
In other sources, Alastor remains the spirit of revenge or tormentor or destroyer of relationships and love.
He has hind coxae from inside and in front, he has a longitudinal ribbed edge. His second radio-medial cell of the fore wing is dorsally pedunculated. He has a middle tibia with one spur. He habitats in pre-fabricated holes and feeds on beetle larvae and pupae.
Dear reader, the description of this demon already stirs up disgust in my gut, but do not be weary.
Remember, in our previous series, I shared tips on how to avoid them, and be free from their manipulations. I have shared the ultimate weapon to defeat them, so fret not!
If you missed the previous series, please read those articles before continuing this one.
Please, do not say I did not warn you!
Why Alastor is the demon of revenge, torment and loneliness;
Alastor as a high-ranking arch-demon and the chief executioner to the monarch of Hell, one of his epithets is the "Evil Genius of the Household" meaning that Alastor is the demon that conducts the most heinous, depraved, and unbearably cruel tortures in the pits of Hell.
Alastor is likened to Nemesis and the destroying angel and is known as The Executioner.
In ancient times, Alastor was associated with both Greek and Roman mythology. In Greek mythology, Alastor is associated with the sins that pass down generations from fathers to sons.
In Roman mythology, he is notorious as the evil genius of the household who entices residents to commit sins. He is often associated with family feuds.
Out of all the demons in the Infernal Pit, Alastor is arguably the cruellest devil of all, even for a demon, especially in his sadism. His sadism somewhat rivaling the king of Hell himself, Satan.
The more pain Alastor could deliver the happier he was, but not just physical pain; he was also effective in mental torture and stress. He viewed torture as an exquisite art and enjoyed being patient and relishing the moments where he tortured his victims.
Almost all of the demons that roam Hell fear Alastor greatly, almost as much as they fear the Lords of Hell themselves. It is because of this that he was handpicked by Satan himself, due to being impressed by his skills, as the Grand Torturer of Hell.
Alastor has even gathered and formed his group known as the Malebranche; a group of demons comprised of twelve elite fiends that share Alastor's taste in sadistic torment.
Alastor despises love and happiness, so he torments relationships and forces couples to have unnecessary disagreements thus; they break up.
Ever heard a story about a wicked mother in-law that placed a cursed on a marriage?
Well, she must have invoked Alastor on this couple's relationship.
Yes, you probably have your jaws dropped now, but that is the truth.
Dear reader, as I earlier said, I am not a demonic specialist so I will put my pen down here.
