Life is all about moving on from one point to another. That is what is called progress. And such has been the story of former husband to super star actress, Funke Akindele, who goes by the name Alhaji Kehinde Oloyede Almaroof, but better known as Kendoo. Because, as his ex-wife is making progress and waxing stronger with her life and career which have been on the upward swing since they parted ways years back, he has apparently not remained static too.
As a quick flash-back, Funke Akindele and Kendoo's wedding ceremony took place on Saturday, 26th May, 2012, at the Havens Event Centre, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos. And it was a big society wedding with Nollywood stars like Genevieve Nnaji, Hon. Desmond Elliot, Ini Edo, Omoni Oboli, as well as all the big stars in the Yoruba section of Nollywood attending. But unfortunately, the marriage crashed after just a year due to irreconcilable differences.
And good enough, the couple both dusted themselves up and moved on. Funke Akindele's acting career has kept blossoming since that time as she kept making blockbuster movies, and also continued picking major awards here and there. And more so, she later found love in a fellow entertainer, a singer, Abdul-Rasheed Bello better known as JJC Skills, and their union has remained lovey-dovey since then. Like Funke Akindele, Kendoo too has been a happy man. It is on record that, before getting married to Funke Akindele, he was already married to another woman and has wonderful children from the union.
Meanwhile, Kendoo is now set to contest for a political office in Lagos State, as he is aiming to be elected as the next Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government in the forthcoming Local Government Election in the State of Excellence which should be held in the next 3 months. And he is said to have a very good chance of winning the election.
Aside from being the son of late Iyaloja of Oshodi and strong political mobilizer in her life time, Alhaja T.A. Almaroof, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Kendoo Investments, is also a very close friend and ally of Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, the Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), who is said to have joined him in the efforts to ensure that his dream to become the Local Government Chairman comes true in Oshodi-Isolo.
