On July 13th, 2021, Fuji music star, King (Dr.) Saheed Okunola simply known as Saheed Osupa posted on his Instagram handle that he was about to release a new album titled: "Diary". And he actually posted the well designed artwork for the forthcoming album, as well as audio snippet from the music in the album. So, everyone was excited that something new was coming from the King of Music, as Saheed Osupa is also known. In fact, many thought the album would be released against the fast approaching Eid-El-Kabir festival by Muslims, at that point in time.

But surprisingly, the festival called "Ileya" by Yoruba Muslims came and gone, and Saheed Osupa did not release the highly anticipated album. So, many Fuji music lovers thought the album would, however, be released few days after the Islamic festival, but still nothing happened. And now, it is almost one a half months since Saheed Osupa posted the album titled "Diary" was coming soon, but nothing like releasing it has still happened. Meanwhile, considering the fact that, the audio snippet from the music in the album posted by Saheed Osupa along with the finished artwork for it, suggested that studio works must have been completed on the album since, then it could be concluded that, Saheed Osupa is kind of using delay tactics in releasing the much anticipated album.

And the basis of the delay tactics could be said to have something to do with Saheed Osupa's main rival in the Fuji music industry, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Odetola popularly known as Pasuma. How? This is it. It would be recalled that, Pasuma released an album in July, 2020, titled: "Money Making Machine" (MMM), which turned out to be a big hit. As a matter of fact, the huge success that MMM recorded in the music market in Nigeria marvelled Fuji music lovers generally. And that is because, unlike most of the previous Pasuma's albums, MMM came with deep messages which happened to the edge Saheed Osupa's music was having above Pasuma's music.

And with the success of MMM, Saheed Osupa apparently went back to the drawing board, since the album he released about the same time MMM was released titled: "Special Request", did not cover as much mileage as MMM did in terms of being a big hit album. So, while MMM was still ruling the airwaves all over the place, Saheed Osupa came out with another album titled: "Direction", but that did not even shake MMM a bit in the music market. And the follow up album to "Direction" by Saheed Osupa is the album titled: "Diary" that many Fuji music fans thought he would have released by now.

But, there has been some kind of long delay in releasing the new album. And that may be due to the fact that, at the point Saheed Osupa posted that a new album titled "Diary" was coming from him, there were feelers that Pasuma too would be releasing a follow-up album to his MMM. So, Saheed Osupa might have planned to wait till after Pasuma must have released the follow album to see if the music in it would be as huge as that of MMM turned out to be; and so he could quickly do some adjustments on his album, "Diary", to compete strongly enough with whatever Pasuma must have come up with in his follow-up album to MMM.

And since Pasuma has refused to release a follow-up album to MMM, over a year after, Saheed Osupa may just have to release his own "Diaray" sometime soon, for his fans to enjoy the music. Because, no one seems to know when exactly, Pasuma may be going back to the studio to do a follow up album to MMM.
