Everyone who watched Yoruba movies in the 90s will surely remember the Yoruba movie 'Owo Blow'. Femi Adebayo and Bimbo were seemingly young and new in the industry back then but played significant role in the movie.
Twenty five years down the line, both are have grown and are one of the names to reckon with when it comes to Nollywood today. Well, let's have a look into the journey of Bimbo Akintola as far as Nollywood is concerned.
The 50-year-old actress was born in 1970 in Lagos. She attended Maryland Convent School in Lagos and the University of Ibadan for her tertiary education where she bagged a degree in theatre arts. She first featured in a Yoruba movie in 1995. Alongside Femi Adebayo, she featured in the blockbuster, Owo Blow.
She later featured in Dangerous Twins, 93 days, Heaven's Hell, Ayitale, Out of Bounds, amongst many others. She also featured in the TV series; Husbands of Lagos and Ere Egele.
She has performed alongside many actors and actresses in the industry including but not limited to Bimbo Oshin, Taiwo Hassan, Ramsey Noah, Adebayo Salami, and Femi Adebayo.
At 50, Bimbo Akintola is still very active in the movie industry and looks very beautiful.
