Risikat Ajoke Adegeye, one of the wife's of Nigerian music icon, King Sunny Ade, KSA, is dead.
Adegeye, a former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly and an ex-Chairmanship aspirant under the umbrella of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area, was said to have died in the wee hours of Tuesday following a brief illness.
The cause of her death is still sketchy as at the time of filing this report, but reports say the deceased might have died of cancer, which she had battled for a long time before she finally gave in to death.
Adegeye's exit was confirmed on Tuesday by George Folarin Olawande, who is a family member.''We wish to inform the general public, political associates, friends, and well-wishers the passing unto glory of our beloved sister, Hon. Risikat Ajoke Adegeye, in the wee hours of Tuesday September 21, 2021, following a brief illness.
''Detailed information about her burial ceremony will be announced in due course after extensive consultations with the family.
''We pray God to grant her departed soul eternal rest,'' Olawande said.
