Queen Elizabeth II was a 21 year old princess when she married Prince Philip who was then 26 years old, on 23 November 1947. Therefore marking 73 years of their marriage. Together, they had 4 children.
Prince Philip was reported to have died today, 9th April in Windsor Castle. He was aged 99.

According to Arise News, Prince Philip's reign was the longest serving consort in British history. His tenure started from 6th February, 1952- 9th April 2021. During his lifetime, he gave a total of 5,000 speeches.

With regards to his death, Queen Elizabeth will be in mourning state for 8 days, during which no new bills will be given royal assent.
