Few days ago, Nigeria afrobeats stars Burna Boy and Wizkid both went viral on social platforms after they won awards at 2021 Grammy held in Los Angeles.
Burna Boy won the Best Global Music Album category for his album "Twice As Tall" which was released on 14 August, 2020 while Wizkid took the Best Music Video award for his video described as "a feast for the fashion-forward and a celebration of Black and brown female beauty everywhere".
Speaking after he received the award, Burna Boy whose really name is Damini Ogulu said that the win is for all Africans of his generation all over the world. He challenged all Africans to see this as a lesson that it's achievable regardless of where you are coming from.
