David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as Davido was born on November 21, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia to the family of Mr and Mrs Adeleke. Davido's father, Adedeji Adeleke is a famous business mogul and his mother Vero Adeleke was a university don.
Davido has five siblings - three girls and two sons. He is the youngest and his father's second-born son.
The Omo Baba Lowo crooner started his education by attending the British International School in Lagos . At the age of 16, he moved to Alabama, US, to study business administration at Oakwood University.
While in school, he bought musical equipment and started making beats. Davido formed a music group known as KN International wwith his cousins B-Red and Sina Rambo. Because of love for music, he dropped out of Oakwood University to pursue music full-time. He later relocated to London, where he worked on his vocals.
In 2011, Davido returned to Nigeria to pausue his music career and complete his studies. He then enrolled at Babcock University in the same year he returned to Nigeria and graduated in July 2015 with a degree in music after his father paid the university to start a music department for an inaugural class of one student.
On Tuesday, 28th 2018 Davido shared photos of himself in NYSC uniform after his registration as he thrilled his fellow corp members of his arrival into Lagos camp.
The Omo Baba Lowo crooner, while signing his oath of allegiance form, told newsmen at the camp that he registered for the scheme due to his strong passion for NYSC.
His NYSC registration number was LA/18B/6389. He was registered with Batch 'B' Stream 2 Orientation Course at the Lagos NYSC Camp, Iyana Ipaja, Agege.
Davido was later quoted in the Punch Newspaper to have announced that his NYSC service was cancelled by the authority without stating why.
