Talented singer and dancer, Akinmayokun Awodumila, popularly known as 'May D' (or Mista May D) is currently trending at no. 5 on Twitter Nigeria after announcing that he has been signed to Davido's "DMW" record label.
Recall that May D was formerly signed to "Square Records", owned by the now defunct group "P-Square", but left the label amidst controversies.
May D who used to be a household name back in the early days of his career, and released hit songs like "Ile Ijo", "Bamilo" and others slightly went off the radar, and stopped making music.
But after announcing his signing to "DMW", Nigerians are really happy for him and congratulating him on the great news, and praising Davido for always helping artistes who need help and support!
Others are commenting on the fact that "DMW" is becoming an Iconic record label, with the likes of "Peruzzi" and "Mayorkun" already in the group.
This is really a great act by Davido, and shout out to him for always lifting others!
And congratulations to May D, I wish him more success and growth!
