Almost everyone in Nigeria knows about Nnamdi Benjamin Azikiwe, since I would like to believe that we have been taught about him in school as one of those who went to Britain for Nigeria's independence with the likes of Sir Tafawa Balewa and Funmilayo Ransome Kuti, the mother of Afrobeats legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti. And he is also the man that is on the front of the 500 Naira Note.
Nnamdi Benjamin Azikiwe, usually referred to as "Zik", was a Nigerian statesman and political leader who served as the first President of Nigeria from 1963 to 1966. He was also known as the father of Nigerian Nationalism.
So in this article, I will be Introducing the great legend who was the Premier of Eastern Region with his associate Dr. Michael Okpara who afterwards became his Successor.
