1. Kunle Remi

Kunle Remi whose real name is Oyekunle Oluwaremi Opeyemi is an award winning Nigerian actor, model and tv host born on October 18, 1988.

Kunle Remi was born in Benue state but originally hails from Ekiti State. He is the second son of six children. He attended primary and secondary school in Ibadan before heading to the University of Ibadan. He studied acting at the New York Film Academy, Los Angeles, and graduated in 2014. This was followed by a stint learning film making and direction from the same academy, and graduating in 2015.

Kunle Remi started acting professionally in 2011, after winning Gulder Ultimate Search in 2010. His first major role was in Heavy Beauty, produced by Grace Edwin Okon and directed by Stanlee Ohikhuare. Later, he starred in several films, TV series, and stage plays, including Family Forever, Tinsel, Lagos Cougars Reloaded, The Getaway, Falling, and Africa Magic’s Forbidden Forbidden. He has been featured in a number of Africa Magic Original Films.

3. Gbenga Richards

Gbenga Richards is veteran Nollywood actor, director, and producer.

A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, he hails from Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria.

Gbenga Richards is not a new name in Nollywood. The veteran actor is well known for his roles as a bad guy (villain) in most of his movies.

He has acted in more than 150 Nollywood movies which include Gbenga Richards is an actor, known for 30 Days (2006), Darkest Night (2005) and Betrayed by Love (2004), New Jerusalem (2006), etc.

Gbeng Richards always acts in action movies alongside with Sam Dede, Saint Obi, Gentle Jack, Emma Ehummadu, J.T. Tom West, Jerry Amilo, Alaso Wariboko, Ernest Asuzu and Jim Iyke, Hanks Anuku.

Gbenga Richards in the cause of his career as a movie actor has won several awards which include Most Prominent Actor in Nigeria at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Best Actor of the Year at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Best of Nollywood Awards and Best Actor in Nigeria at the City People Entertainment Awards.

4. Odunlade Adekola

Odunlade Adekola is a Nigerian actor, producer, director and singer. He began his career in 1996 and rose to prominence in 2003, after playing a lead role in Asiri Gomina Wa. Since then, Odun has starred in numerous Yoruba movies and his dynamism has remained the talk of the town. 

Adekola is one of the few celebrities whose pictures are used for internet memes. He is also the CEO and founder of Odunlade Adekola Film Production (OAFP), a platform created in order to build prospective thespians.

Odunlade Adekola was born on December 31, 1976 in Abeokuta, Ogun State. Although, he hails from Ekiti state, he was born and raised in Lafenwa, Abeokuta by Pastor and Deaconess Adekola. He grew up in a Christian family that is devoted to church activities.

For his formal education, he started at St. John’s Primary School and moved on to St. Peter’s College, Abeokuta. Subsequently, he attended Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, and earned a National Diploma Certificate. Later on, in 2018, Odunlade bagged a bachelors degree in Business Administration at the University of Lagos.

He is married to Ruth Adekola, and the union is blessed with 4 children.

Odunlade is a member of Christ Apostolic Church, Lafenwa, Abeokuta, and that was where his career began. Early enough, Odun started acting in church with his friend Tunde. He got motivation from his church audience and this spurred him into professional acting.

In 1996, his friend introduced him to a theatre group that meets for rehearsals in the neighborhood. Odun was invited and his demo performance got the entire crew endeared to him. In the group, he started learning some ethics and rudiment of the movie industry, until some invited veterans asked him to join a theatre association. Then, in January 1998, he became a bonafide member of the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners.

At the end, Adekola started producing and featuring in movies. He starred in Faworaja (1999) produced by Bolaji Amusan (Mr Latin). Thereafter, he rose to prominence after featuring as a state Governor in Asiri Gomina Wa (2003). The movie was produced by late Ishola Durojaiye (Alasari).

Today, Adekola has featured in numerous films and has remained a professional actor with numerous awards.

5. Seun Akindele

Seun Akindele was born on October 7. Despite being a native of Ekiti State, Akindele grew up in Jos.

He has a degree in history and international relations from Lagos State University.

Akindele acting career began in 2005 after participating at the Amstel Malta Box Office. At the 2011 Best of Nollywood Awards, Akindele won the award for "most promising actor" for the year in review. He was nominated for "best kiss in a movie" alongside Yvonne Jegede for their role in The Ex in 2015. He also got "best supporting actor" nomination for Miss Taken.

6. Abayomi Alvin

Abayomi Alvin is a Nigerian Multi-award winning Actor, model, writer, and event host. He hails from Ekiti State.

He is a graduate of Sociology and Anthropology from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State.

Right from his childhood, he has always had interest to be an actor, acting was his favourite hobby. He loved acting a lot and took part in School Plays, Church Dramas and Neighbourhood plays but nursed the dream of becoming a Doctor.

In 2013, he was convinced his hobby should become his career, and he was quick to realise acting is not as easy as it seems. Abayomi found acting very exciting and challenging, he naturally gets bored fast and doesn't want a monotonous job and acting gives him that opportunity to play the role of different people with different professions each time and he cherish that a lot.

He started attending auditions from 2013 when he decided to become a professional actor, he got his first role in 2014.

He starred in a movie title 'Collateral War' directed by Iwuanyanwu Chuks and Produced by Chioma Okeke. He acted alongside Yvonne Jegede, John Dumelo. His first shoot was nerve-racking and he was so nervous that he began to stammer on set, after that he landed a very strong supporting role on 'Calabash Banking Series' by Obi Emelonye.

He has since starred in Jenifa's Diary, Isoken, MTV Shuga Naija, Jemeji, Moms at War, The Johnsons, Alive, Mentally, Truth, You, Me and the guys, just to mention but a few.

In 2017, he won the Best Actor award from 19teen Rom Awards and the Industry Cynosure from Maya Awards, Nominated Revelation of the Year 2017 at the Best of Nollywood Awards, Revelation of the year at the Tush all Youth Awards, Most Promising Actor (English) at the City People Awards, Most Promising Actor at the African Entertainment Legends Awards, Next Rated Actor 2018 at the Nigerian Achievers Awards, Most Promising Actor 2018 at the Scream All Youth Awards.

He has also received some recognition awards from the Achievement as a Young Actor from the Ekiti State Future Awards 2018, Achievement as a Young Actor from the Ekiti State All Stars Awards 2018 and Honourary Award from the Association of English Education Students, OAU 2017.

Abayomi admits he doesn't really have role models but he has a long list of exceptional actors he respects their work and love to watch them.

He believes he stands out as an actor because of the way he embodies any character he plays, he always tries to be very natural and believable as possible. He has the ability to do whatever it takes to completely embody a character, very patience, tolerance, and has the ability to work under pressure.

7. Samuel Ajibola

Samuel Ajibola is a famous Nigerian film and television actor, model, events planner, comedian, entrepreneur and a television personality. He hails from Ekiti State. He is best known for his role as a child-actor in the Opa Williams directed movie Tears for Love, as well as his role as “Spiff” in the Africa Magic TV series The Johnsons. He is very handsome, gifted, skillful, creative and talented in acting and interpretation of movie roles. He knows how to interpret his roles very well, and can fit in any character given to him by movie directors and producers in Nigeria.

Samuel Ajibola is also famous for being the first Nigerian child actor to win the award for Best Kid Actor for three years in a row. On 4th March, 2017 he won the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award for Best Actor in an M-net comedy series The Johnsons.

Samuel Ajibola was born in Mazamaza, Lagos State in the south western part of Nigeria, where he completed both his primary and secondary school education and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate. He studied political science at university of lagos and also obtained a diploma in acting from Amaka Igwe’s centre of excellence in film amd Media studies.

His father, Lanre Ajibola (Rtd Military veteran), married his mother, Irene Ajibola, an ex-banker.

Samuel Ajibola who began acting in 1995 at the age of 5 with a role as child actor in Opa Williams directed movie “Tears for love”, took a break from acting to further his education.

Upon his return in 2009, he acted in Teco Benson produced movie “The Fake Prophet” starring alongside Grace Amah.

In 2013, he also starred in the MTV produced tv series, Shuga and has featured in sevearl blockbuster movies including Last Flight to Abuja with Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and The Antique with Kiki Omeli, Judith Audu and Gloria Young.

The talented actor rose to fame after hism intriguing role in the Africa Magic tv series, The Johnsons where he played the role of Spiff.

8. Tope Tedela

Temitope Christopher popularly known as Tope Tedela is an award winning Nigerian actor and movie producer born on June 5.

He is the first of the four children born to his parents.

Tope is originally from Ekiti state but grew up in Lagos where he attended Lagos state Model College, Meran for his secondary education and obtained a Bachelors degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos.

Tope started acting during his University days where he made his debut as Julian in the television series “Edge of Paradise.”

He came to limelight for his role in the movie “A Mile From Home” and ever since then he hasn’t look back.

Tope has starred in over 50 nollywood movies and television shows which include; Awakening, Tom, Cyanide, Birthday Bash, Lunch Time Heroes, Suru L’ere, Ojukokoro, A soldier’s story, What Lies Within, Jemeji and many others.

Aside acting, Tope has worked as an On-air personality at UNILAG FM and a news anchor at Nigeria Television Authority (NTA).

Tope was said to have married actress Rosaline Muerer in a low key ceremony. We don’t know how true this it s but he was actually spotted in a wedding photos with the actress. Recall that handsome actor has sad he does not have a problem marrying an actress.

Tope has won numerous awards and got so many nominations which include Best actor in a drama at 2014 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (Won), Best Actor in a lead role at 2014 Best of Nollywood Awards (Won), Most Promising Actor at 2014 Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards (Won).
