Wizkid needs no introduction to most Nigerians. He is arguably the biggest musical artist in Africa and he is very recognized globally for his sound and his art. Born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, Wizkid grew up in Surulere Lagos, With twelve female siblings, a Christian mother, and a Muslim father. Wizkid knew how much he loved music early on in his life as he formed a group called 'The Glorious Five' with his church friends.
Wizkid, who went by the stage name Lil Prinz till 2006. He met Banky W after inking a record deal with Empire Mates Entertainment in 2009. He released his lead single from the Superstar album on January 2nd, 2010, and since then it has been like a dream for the Nigerian Superstar.
It didn’t start all rosy for the Ojuelegba singer, as he worked hard to get where he is today at 30 years. He is now one of the most sought after musical artist in the whole world.
