PHOTOS: Meet Late Actress Hauwa Maina's Daughter Who is A Public Speaker

Maryam Hassan Bukar, popularly known as Alhanislam, is a Nigerian poet, activist, and public speaker. She is an indigene of Biu Local Government Area of Borno State, but she was born (25th December 1996) and raised in Kaduna State alongside her family members.

She attended Nigerian Custom Staff school for her primary education, she attended Al-Madina Islamic Academy where she obtained her SSCE result.

She is a graduate of Information and Technology from Rashford University, UK.

Alhanislam got married to her heartthrob, Umar Faruq Zuriq. Together they have one child.

She is the biological daughter of the late Kannywood actress, Hauwa Maina who died 3 years ago. Hauwa Maina was a Kannywood actress who died at Aminu Teaching Hospital in Kano on Wednesday, 2nd May 2018, after an illness. The death of actress Hauwa brought sadness to the entire Kannywood family. Before her death, Maina had featured in many biggest Kannywood and Nollywood movies.

Maryam has attended many festivals and conferences across the world - she is a speaker at various levels including Book and Art Festival, Northern Youth Conference, Dare Conference Africa, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and others.

She has received many awards including the best speaker in the Northern part of Nigeria by the Hausa Fulani initiative, the "Youth Encouragement" by Northern Youth in February 2020, and others.

Maryam owned an agency known as Alhanislam news agency which focuses on songs.
