Marriage have been termed a bed of thorns instead of roses by humans who were unsuccessful in the journey. The society have always worked towards reducing domestic violence to secure a profitable society of well-trained children but it is all to no avail.
Most of these issues comes as a result of going into marriage unsure of whom you are getting married to due to lust for money or influence mistaken for pure love. Indeed, it is a very old fashioned way of living in African homes but daily news and reports show that so many people still live under this nightmare.
Recently, a tweet was made by a lady known as Mmanti Umoh on Twitter following the sad experience she had in a wedding reception between a newly wedded couple. According to her, the groom slapped the bride so hard in front of guests at the reception. She narrated how sad she was that she went home with migraine caused from the unexpected incident that occurred in what supposed to be one of the happiest days of a couples life.
Sincerely, she did not give an account of what lead to the action taken by the groom but this is not supposed to happen in a couples wedding reception let alone occur in the marriage relationship at all.
