Robert Irwin honored his late father by recreating an iconic image 15 years after the original was taken.
“Dad and me feeding Murray… same place, same croc-two photos 15 years apart,” his caption said.
Robert lunges in the picture to feed the giant animal, just like his iconic dad, dubbed the “Crocodile Hunter,” did over 15 years ago.
So many fans and friends were impressed with the teen and how Steve walked.
“Can’t begin to imagine how proud he would be Robert,” one wrote, while another wrote, “I believe the whole world would agree, your dad would be super proud of you. Keep on rocking, man.”
Both Irwin kids did their part to honor and remember their dad, who was a leader in animal conservation as well as a television host who took viewers on amazing adventures.
Steve died in 2006 following an incident in which a stingray stung him in the heart. Millions of people lamented the sudden and painful loss.
Robert is presently working at the Australia Zoo and frequently posting pictures from his own adventures.
Last week he posted, “We are proud to announce the birth of our gorgeous Sumatran tiger cub named Nelson. He is the fifth cub for mother Kaitlyn, and is healthy and growing fast with a beautiful personality! This is such an exciting time for @australiazoo and tiger conservation.”
Then we’ve got Bindi, a champion of “Dancing With the Stars” and conservationist fellow.
“Wishing you a magical day from #AustraliaZoo 💛 Mornings with these sweethearts are always incredible,” she shared last week about her late father icon.
She posted an older picture with Steve, writing, “Thank you for always teaching me to stand up for what I believe in. I’m incredibly blessed to be your daughter and I love you so much.”
