The name Bayo Bankole may not ring a bell in the hearts of most Nigerians, but when the name, Boy Alinco is mentioned, it brings back nostalgic memories of the famous comedic character, in Wale Adenuga's Hit comedy TV series, Papa Ajasco and company.
Bayo Bankole who has been acting since the early 90's, rose to fame and critical acclaim when he was cast as the famous character, "Boy Alinco" in Nigeria's hit comedy sitcom Papa Ajasco and company. His role as the egocentric young man brought him widespread fame and immediately established him as one of Nigeria's brightest comedic stars.
However, Bayo Bankole left the series and disappeared from the movie scene. It was later revealed that the movie star had relocated permanently to the United States of America. He stated that he did so for his own good and advancement.
Bayo who still acts movies occasionally, currently runs a radio programme in Atlanta, called Afroville. He is also an MC and anchors shows and events regularly.
