Yakubu Muhammed is a Nigerian celebrity who acts in Hausa and English movies. He is one of the notable stars in the Hausa industry. Yakubu and Sani Danja are the founders and owners of a movie company named '2effects empire'. Yakubu started his singing career before he finally starts to appear on the screen.

He became famous for his singing Hausa songs. Despite being a creative singer, Yakubu Muhammed discovered that he also has talent in acting. He joined his best friend, Sani Danja, and started to released, feature, and directed Hausa movies. Almost all of his songs were featured in Hausa movies before he started to come out with albums.
