Disclaimer: Please dear reader, I am not a ritualist or native doctor or a witch or a demonic specialist. I am simply an enthusiastic person wrapped in sheer curiosity.

What is Demonology;

Demonology is the study of demons or beliefs about demons.

They may be human, or nonhuman, separable souls, or discarnate spirits that never inhabited a body.

A sharp distinction is often drawn between these two classes, notably by the Melanesians, several African groups, and others.

Below is a list of types of demons;

Fallen Angels.

Malevolent genii.

Ghosts or Malevolent Revenants.

Now that we have learnt about demons. Let us discuss the demon for today.

In demonology, Belphegor (or Beelphegor) is an evil spirit, and one of the seven rulers of Hell, who assists individuals with making inventions. Belphegor originated as the Assyrian Baal-Peor, the Moabitish god to whom the Israelites became associated in Shittim (Numbers 25:3), which was correlated with licentiousness and orgies.

Belphegor (Lord of the Opening) was portrayed in two considerably different forms: as a beautiful exposed woman and as a frightful, bearded demon with an open mouth, horns, and sharply pointed nails.

Why Belphegor is the demon of fraud and laziness;

Belphegor entices individuals by proposing to them quick means that will make them rich. As indicated by some sixteenth-century demonologists, his capacity is intense in April.

Diocesan and witch-tracker Peter Binsfeld accepted that Belphegor entices people by methods of laziness to create fraudulent ideas instead of working hard and making honest or legal earnings.

Additionally, as per Peter's Binsfeld's Classification of Demons, Belphegor is the central devil of the deadly sin known as Sloth in the Christian religion.

Bonus Interesting study;

A few rabbis claim that Belphegor must be worshiped on a toilet seat, with offerings being the excrete from people's digestion.

I guess this is why many people spend hours in the toilet while pressing their phones.
