One of the most current trending news is the fake tweets coming from high profile twitter accounts like Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Kim kardashian, kenye West and many others. what the tweets basically says is that if you send a specific amount of bitcoin to a certain bitcoin address, the amount you sent would be double. It is almost unbelievable that someone can do this, and worst still many people certainly fell for this scam.
In my opinion this is the biggest bitcoin scam, and it is a sad thing to happen in this pandemic period when there is little or nothing for most people to live on. That did not stop twitter users from reacting to this matter in a funny manner. Some even likened this situation to the popular Series call Money Heist.
Below are some of their reactions.
Even though the hack happened for less than 30 minutes, there was still a lot of damage done, to people who sent bitcoin to the bitcoin address hoping to get double of what they sent, this hack was largely successful because people trust the tweets coming from those high profile twitter accounts.
Twitter support earlier put out a tweet saying they are investigating and taking steps to fix it.
