SAD: 5 Nigerian Celebrities Who Lost Their Lives In A Car Accident (Photos).

In 2015, Pop duo P-Square then had every reason to go to church after they survived a ghastly accident that could have taken away their lives along Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

They are more Nollywood stars who have also survived some accidents or even more than once in their life time, examples are RMD and Bukky Wright, musicians including Niyola, Terry G, and Jahbless but it's so unfortunate that these five epic celebrities were not able to make it far. The most painful part of it was that, none of them were even up to the age of 50 before their journey was cut short.

1) Dagrin.

Da Grin remains one of the Nigerian rappers who revolutionised the Nigerian rap industry. His music portrayed a cultural significance that infused English with his native dialect and Nigerian pidgin.

April 2010 was a dark time for music lovers and Da Grin fans as his death made major headlines on blogs and other platforms. He was involved in a ghastly auto accident and was receiving treatment for injuries sustained at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH.

Da Grin was officially pronounced dead by the doctors at about 8:30 p.m. local time at LUTH.

2) CD John.

Fast rising comedian, Chijioke De John popular with the name CD John ended the journey of his life abruptly in a fatal car accident. The rising star which was dimmed prematurely died of serious injuries he sustained in an auto crash in the early morning of Thursday, March 24, 2011.

He was buried at Atan Cemetery Akoka, yaba on Wednesday April 20th, 2011. Alibaba, Desmond Elliot, Tee A, Princess, Klint Da Drunk and many of his former colleagues were in attendance.

According to sources, he was returning from Questionmark act, Harrysong’s album listening party held at Tribeca where he was the MC. He was driving back to his Jakande estate, Isolo home, when the accident occurred’.

Born John Chijioke, the rib cracker was a refreshing face to burst into the comedy scene in 2010 and will be remembered for his unique style of crafting jokes from popular Christian songs. May his soul continue to rest in peace.

3) Chris Jeyibo.

Jeyibo died in a fatal auto crash on his way from an event in his white Range Rover Evogue, after he crashed into a parked truck around Magodo, Lagos State.

Nigerian entertainers described the death as very sad and shocking, noting that life indeed is truly too short.

4) Alasari.

The Yoruba movie industry was thrown into mourning following the death of a top actor and producer Ahmed Durojaiye a.k.a Alasari.

Durojaiye was stiil undergoing treatment at a private hospital before the accident that claimed his life occurred.

It was learnt that Durojaiye was on his way to Lagos from his Abeokuta, Ogun State base to promote his new movies when the incident occurred.

The burial of Alasari, who died at the age of 49, attracted thousands of people, including students, colleagues in the movie industry, friends and fans.

5) MC Loph.

Talented Nigerian musician, Nwaozo Obiajulu aka MC Loph died in a tragic car accident along the often neglected Benin-Ore Expressway.

Singer MC Loph together with his sister Chinwe died in a car accident, while en route to his home town for his traditional wedding.

MC Loph popularized the song Osondi-Owendi, as a tribute song to the late highlife musician Osita Osadebe.

It's so sad to write about these legends, but history will never forget them. We miss all of them and we wish they were alive, however God had a better plan for them.

We wish they continue to rest in perfect peace, amen!!!!
