Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale who was as at yesterday reported shot, has been arrested by the Ghanaian police for spreading false information. It was reported yesterday that the reggae singer was shot at East Legon in Ghana and his representative Nana Dope posted a message on his social media account claiming that Shatta Wale had been rushed to the emergency ward of a hospital.
This made the police to swing into action in search of the musician they made this known through a Facebook post that they were in search of the artiste whose whereabouts was unknown at the time.
Shatta Wale turned himself in after the police had declared him wanted. They also arrested Shatta Wale for “creation and circulation of information intended to cause fear and panic in the hearts of citizens. He has been detained so as to assist the Police in investigations for his alleged involvement in the creation and circulation of information intended to cause fear and panic.
