African are known for being strict and sometimes too strict with their children, touring them in the name of discipline.
Istablog shared a video where a father could be seen using a belt to flog his daughter over a whatsapp group which he had warned her not to join but she refused to adhere to his instructions. She could be seen pleading for mercy from her father but her he ignored the pleading and continued to flog the girl.
Since the video surfaced online Nigerians have been reacting while some commended the father some are of the believe she is old enough to do as she pleases. see some reactions below:
I get that the father is frustrated buy this kind of disciplinary action is totally uncalled for, there are many other ways in which you can discipline a child without having to use beating or flogging.
This action can have a sociological effect on the child which may damage the relationship between herself and her dad.
