Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun or "Mayor of Lagos" is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, pianist and comedian. He was born on March 23, 1994 in Osun State, Nigeria. He was signed into Davido's record label "Davido Music Word wide" (DMW) in 2016 after which he released his first hit song "Eleko" under the record label.
Mayorkun is now often regarded as "Mayor of Lagos" because of the album he released in November 2018 titled "The Mayor of Lagos". Mayorkun was born into the family of entertainers. His mother, Toyin Adewale is a renowned Yoruba, Nollywood actress while the father is an artist, an actor and a movie director.
Toyin Adewale started her acting career while she was still a student. Her first movie was titled "Irepodun". This was indeed the beginning of her success. Toyin Adewale has also won the hearts of many British men and women in soap operas. She is married to Mayorkun's dad, Sunday Adewale.
