Big Brother Naija star, Wathoni Anyansi has opened up on her past struggles to make ends meet as a single mother.
Wathoni who has since gained popularity after featuring in the 2020 edition of BBNaija revealed that above as she penned down quite the emotional note on social media.
According to the entrepreneur, this time two years ago she was at her lowest as she was stuck struggling to pay bill and at the same time take care of her son.
Taking to Instagram to recount life before fame and wealth, Wathoni wrote;
“I can re-call how this time last two years I be running helter skelter in the market to make sure my customers Cc @wathonis_ get their orders and ASAP. Even last year I constantly kept posting on my business page (sadly that page is gone).
"I have close Fam who used to say business isn’t for me. Well I had no choice it was paying my bills and my son’s so I had to keep pushing.
"Life brings us as many joyful moments as it does downfalls. I use every criticism to motivate myself. Let me not even get started about my NYSC struggles …..
"Why am I saying all this? It really doesn’t come easy for those you think it comes easy for and life just comes at you super fasttttttttt.
"I was gisting with my friend yesterday and I was like “it was actually fun going to the market those days o” and she’s like how is it fun going to the market?
"I think of all of that now and mennnnnnnnnnn I just thank God for where I am today.. No mind me dear sometimes I am a STORY TELLER .”
Months before entering the BBNaija house, Wathoni went viral after she granted an interview to claim that she got pregnant as a virgin at 23.
She explained that she only engaged in foreplay with her man and was surprised to find out months later that she was pregnant.
“So, about 22 weeks later I found out that I was pregnant. I told my mom and she was like, how is that possible?"
Wathoni was also in the news yesterday as her son turned six yesterday, February 23, 2021.
In a lengthy post she made on social media, the reality TV star credited all her achievements to her son as she called him the inspiration behind her entrepreneurial spirit and writing.
Wathoni noted that she has learnt so much since she had him adding that he has been a blessing to her.
Sharing photos of the birthday boy, Wathoni wrote; “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DARLING SON. You have been such a huge blessing in our lives. You have shaped my life in such a way that blessings keep overflowing.
"All thanks to you Mommy is an Enterpreneur, Author and the best Parenting Blogger there is. I recall all our struggles and I always appreciate those days. I constantly make sure you have every single thing you need.
"With you I have learnt so much and I am still learning. I will always be your Mommy, ride or die, Soldier, anything it takes to support you, protect you and care for you.
"I love you so much I can’t even describe or explain it. You are 6 today and by the time you are 10 Mommy won’t be able to count her blessings no more because they’ll be too many to count. GOD BLESS YOU SON.
