Obi Reacts To The Participation Of 2 Nigerian Women At The Coronation Of King Charles III Yesterday

Former Governor of Anambra State and Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 presidential election, Mr. Peter Obi has reacted to the participation of two Nigerian women at the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla yesterday.

Yesterday, the world was marveled by the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. The coronation was a very big event that got attentions worldwide.

In Nigeria, what is more celebrating for about the event happened to be the participation of two Nigerian women at the event. Many Nigerians have thumbed up for the women, while some can't stop admiring them.

One of the Nigerians who was moved by the participation of the women at the event is Peter Obi who couldn't help but acknowledge their efforts at the event which obviously would help set Nigeria on a higher level.

In his tweet in reaction to the participation of the two Nigerian women at the event, Peter Obi noted that he was delighted seeing them perform at the event.

In his tweet, Peter Obi showed that he paid rapt attention to the event, especially with the fact that two distinguished Nigerian women participated in it.

Peter Obi noted that during the event, one of the two distinguished Nigerian women, Dame Elizabeth Anionwu, an Emeritus Professor and British Nurse carried the orb, while the second woman, Eva Omaghomi graced the event as the Director of Community Engagement to King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

Peter Obi further said that what has brought them thus far is not their religious or ethnic affiliations, rather, it is their competence, character and integrity. According to him, "their competence, character and integrity, rather than ethnic and religious affiliations earned them such recognition and honour in the diaspora."

Obi further added that the qualities exhibited by the women as he has always preached, are the hallmark of the New Nigeria, where he said people will be celebrated based on their competence and capabilities. He however added that he wishes them well as they continue to contribute to the positive image of their dear nation, Nigeria.
