Chiwetalu Agu Was Not Patriotic To Nigeria Following His Statement After Release From DSS Custody

Recall, that Chiwetalu Agu, was recently arrested by the Nigerian Military in Onitsha Anambra state, for putting on a Biafran outfit.

He was soon released and later rearrested by the DSS, who transferred him to Abuja, for further interrogation.

Although he has now been also released by the DSS. However, in a recent interview with Broadway TV after his release, the veteran actor made statements that was capable of threatening the peace and unity, especially among the eastern people of Nigeria.

The actor claim that his outfit had no connection to Biafra, or the ESN Militants, but it represents the rising sun, which signifies progress from one position to a better one.

Regarding the unity of Nigeria, he claimed that the igbos are on top because of their personal effort and not the government, he accused the government of not doing anything for an Igbo man. He then advised that the country was better off divided.

The recent statement by the veteran actor was not patriotic, and it doesn't show love and devotion to one's country.

Nigeria has been faced with so many challenges recently, and this is the time top celebrities like Chiwetalu Agu, who are being looked up to by many, should be more patriotic to Nigeria by preaching about the peace and unity of the nation, so as to bring hope to its citizens.

The actor has also failed to realise that Nigeria is better united, and together the country has achieved alot Together.

Each region in Nigeria need one another to survive, and every region may suffer great loss if the nation splits. Instead of preaching about division, he should instead encourage followers and fans to live together in peace and harmony, regardless of whatever part of the country they are from.
