The killing of Iran's Qassem Soleimani in Baghdad has surely generated mixed reactions from many people across the world. While some are of the opinion that it was a senseless killing carried out by the United State of America's military, some others justify the killing with the belief that such people should not be on the surface of the earth because of the alleged atrocities committed by the late Iranian military general.
Ever since the killing, tension has been on the rise that it got to a boiling point that both concerned countries are trading bitter words of threat.
This makes many across the world to start making jokes and dropping memes that indeed the episode will lead to the dreaded World War Three.
American Music superstar Akon has lent his voice to the issue saying, war should not be seen as a joke because many people's lives will be lost in the process. Stating this on his Twitter handle, the talented musician wrote:
"All these joke memes about WW3 coming isn’t funny. A lot of lives are at stake on all sides, When did ANY war become comical?"
For those who don't know, Soleimani, was an Iranian major general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and, from 1998 until his death, commander of its Quds Force, a division primarily responsible for extraterritorial military and clandestine operations.
