It's a double celebration for the veteran Thespian, who has been of massive impacts in the shores of the Nollywood industry.

Joke Silva is a veteran Nollywood actress, who can be regarded as one of the most successful hands in the Nigeria movie industry for more than three decades. The wife of the Veteran Thespian, Olu Jacobs is an award winning actress, who clocks sixty years old today, and simultaneously marking her 40th year in the movie Industry.

For over the years she has remained one of the most sought after actress, who in every way has given simplicity to any cast she has been given, no wonder many movie producers and directors love to work with her. She is dynamic in her own way, and one unique thing about her is the smile she gives at almost every instance.

As an actress in the last 40 years she has been nominated for so many awards, and also won some awards:

a. In 2006, she won the Best Actress in a Leading Role, at the 2nd Africa Movie Academy Awards for her outstanding performance in the movie titled Women's Cot.

b. At the 4th Africa Movie Academy Awards, she won the Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her excellent performance as a grandmother in the movie titled White Waters in the year 2008.

She has also featured in movies like Last Wedding, Eewo Orisa, The Secret, 30 Days, Diamonds in the Sky, Too Love to Hold, The Kingmaker and so many others.
