Rema is noted for his numerous hit singles after his emergence into the Nigerian Music industry from the songs like ”Dumebi”, ”Beamer”, “Iron Man”, ”Bad Commando” and a host of others.
He was raised in Edo State, Nigeria where he completed both his primary and secondary school education and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.
In 2018, Rema posted a viral freestyle to D’Prince’s track “Gucci Gang”. The post caught the attention of D’Prince who flew him to Lagos to offer a record deal. Rema signed a record deal with D’Prince’s Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records in 2019 and started recording immediately.
2019 was a major change for Fireboy DML music singles and tracks. Among other famous singles, Jealous got a wider publicity and appreciation from fans. The single Jealous has ranked first on so many music listing.
The youngster has a diverse approach to making music and he has been touted by the media as YBNL’s replacement for Adekunle Gold.
Olamide confirmed the signing in a welcome note which he posted on his Instagram handle in late 2018. Fireboy was signed to YBNL with the aim of replacing Adekunle Gold who departed the label after releasing his debut album titled “Life“.
