Ini Edo is an Ibibio from Akwa Ibom state in the south-south part of Nigeria, not far from Calabar. She was born to a teacher mother and a church elder father. She is the second child of four children, three girls and a boy.
Ini Edo attended Cornelius Connely College of Uyo. She graduated from the University of Uyo where she got a Diploma in Theatre Arts. She also completed her bachelor's degree program at the University of Calabar, where she studied English. She got a scholarship to study Law at National Open University of Nigeria.
Ini Edo was recently reappointed to serve in the tourism sector of Akwa Ibom state, by His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel. She took to her social media page to share the good news. Many friends, fans, family and well wishers sent their congratulatory message to her.
Ini Edo was initially appointed by the United Nations as a United Nations Habitat Youth Envoy in 2014. In 2016, she was appointed as Special Assistant to the Akwa Ibom State Governor on Culture And Tourism by Udom Gabriel Emmanuel. Congratulations to Ini Edo on her new appointment.
