Burna Boy is a Nigerian musical artist who has a Grammy Award to his name, thanks to his musical genius, the Kilometer crooner whose latest musical effort is '' Question '' a track which he featured Don Jazzy in. The track which is very catchy due to his lyrics brought back angles in the lives of typical Nigerians which are rarely portrayed these days and these angles includes:
The Ghetto kids: those who listen to music during the late nineties and early twenties will agree that a typical Nigerian music video does not shy away from showcasing the Ghetto lives of the people, especially showing kids doing their thing in the ghetto, while many videos these days seem to feature posh kids living lavish, Burna Boy showed a side that is rarely displayed these days as his Question video showed ghetto kids in characters doing their things and basically just living their lives which is a good thing, as they had fun with Burna Boy.
Bringing Pidgin English back to life: in as much as many Nigerian artist use Pidgin English to make their music, many of them seem to have kids in their video speaking fluent and phonetical English language, but in Burna Boy's Question video when he was interesting with the kids in the video's intro, the kids speak in a clear tern English vernacular language, as they expressed themselves clearly in a popular Nigerian language that many people have cyktivated a habit to deviate from speaking, despite the language being spoken in over 79 percent of the country's region, the video use of vernacular English expression brings a fond memory that many ghetto kids can utterly relate to.
The video serves fans a real beauty and is a great embodiment of entertainment to fans of Burna Boy, who appreciates him for what he does in his music, as he has a string point of connecting with his fans via his musical tracks.
